Without a doubt the greatest contribution from my counselor was the greatly reduced stress involved in the college application process. Personally, I found the most helpful part of Inno-V Consulting was helping me to find opportunities and resources that allowed me to succeed and get the internships and experience I wanted to get in high school. Additionally, all counseling was done online which saved me a lot of time especially with the extracurriculars I had packed into my schedule. My Inno-V Educational Consultant was also easily accessible, commutative and the turnover time was always very quick. So far, I got accepted into Pepperdine University, Baylor University, UC Berkeley and UCLA among other UC's, and waitlisted for Case Western, Northeastern and Emory as a Bio / Health Sciences major going the pre-med track. I also applied for and received a full-tuition scholarship (Posse Foundation Scholarship) to Lehigh University. In fact, my personal statement essay for Caltech, which I worked on extensively with my counselor, was highlighted by Caltech as an exceptional admissions essay. My counselor helped me stay very organized during the whole process and ensured that I was completing applications early so I could refine them as much as possible before submitting them. Also, college application essay writing is very different from any writing you do in school and my counselor ensured I was writing with the right style and grammar. I... read moreI had the lucky opportunity to work with my Inno-V for college counseling since the 2nd semester of my 9th grade. As an international student, I had a lot of academic struggles, also Covids hit me pretty hard. However, since working with my consultant from Inno-V, everything got better. I had a check-up with them almost every week, advising course-taking at school, and planning out my extracurriculars. Since I worked with my consultant from Inno-V for a long time, when it came to college admissions season, I felt so much less stressed since everything had been planned. By the summer of 11th grade, I already finalized my college list and I love how my consultant listened and respected my college choices. He also gave me so much advice and information about colleges that have strong programs for my major so I could have more options and choices to apply to. Moreover, my consultant spent 2 months with me thinking about the main theme of my personal essay until I finalized it. Then they helped me edit every single of my supplemental essays and provided critical feedback. Not only essays but they also help me with my Letter of Continued Interest after I got deferred and waitlisted. At the most stressed time of my college season, my consultant was always there to encourage and support me. As an international student and the first kid in my family to attend high school in the US, I cannot tell how much I appreciate my consultant from Inno-V who has walked me (sometimes pushed :>) through the last 4 years. I have so many good options for my major such as Univ of Washington, Purdue, Case Western Reserve (Engineering), and so many more great colleges. Whenever I reached out to him via text, he promptly responded and provided me with the support I needed. The online counseling platform saved me time, as I didn't have to travel to meet him in person. Thanks to my counselor's assistance, I received acceptance letters from several universities, including UC Berkeley, UIUC, and UC San Diego. Although I was waitlisted by University of Michigan and UCLA, I credit my counselor for making the application process less burdensome and helping me gain admission to some of my preferred schools. read less

As a person who is prone to procrastination, I think having a college counselor definitely helped big time. My counselor helped me pick out my goals, set up a plan, and keep up with my personal deadlines which I would probably have slacked off on if by myself. Of course, this is not to mention the navigation of the different college application sites. (There's literally so many and they would crash ALL THE TIME. Literally don't know where I would be without Vi) Since I attended a large public school, the school counselors' really were not even close to enough. You'd be lucky if they submitted your transcripts for you on time, never mind essays and extracurriculars and stuff. Some of my friends who went without a counselor often found themselves either missing important college deadlines or just not having enough time to edit their 500 essays which, thank god, was not a problem for me. (Even if I finished like LAST LAST min Vi always pulled through for me at the end and got it to me on time and within the word count!) They also really care about your feelings and mental health so you could always talk to them if your encountering anything you don't feel comfortable telling your parents. Really friendly staff as well. It's really only with the help of Inno-V did I up at decent colleges in the end, and I'd definitely recommend this service to anyone reading this! read less

i’m going to be honest, i initially did not want a college counselor rather it was my parents who wanted me to have one. i went to many trial meetings my parents set up but i felt i made an instant connection with the consultant i met with at inno-v... read morei’m going to be honest, i initially did not want a college counselor rather it was my parents who wanted me to have one. i went to many trial meetings my parents set up but i felt i made an instant connection with the consultant i met with at inno-v consulting. i only started during my sophomore year of high school, during which my consultant helped me tremendously to flesh out my extracurriculars and plan my courses for the remaining years of high school. he also had an expansive database of tutors or other ways i could get extra support when my grades were looking a little down before it was too late. where inno-v consulting most stood out was through my college application process. my consultant made sure i started early (over summer) so that i would not be too stressed when school started which i was extremely thankful for. by the time school started, my college list was already set and i we had already set a roadmap for when i needed to write my essays by. my consultant also helped me edit my essays, providing critical feedback and making all my essays much more interesting. essay writing has never been my strong suit but having the help of inno-v took away a lot of the stress and made the application process much simpler. words cannot express how grateful i am to my consultant. i was able to get into new york university, my dream school, with the help of him. i highly recommend going with inno-v as my experience has been extremely positive. read less

I think the biggest impact working with the counselor made versus if I were to have done everything myself is the quality of my essays. As someone who is not very creative, I had a hard time coming up with ideas. My counselor helped me brainstorm ideas and suggest general themes in a way such that everything I was writing were my own thoughts and opinions while being more meaningful and polished than if I were to have written them entirely by myself, and I ended up getting into CMU for CS! Inno-V educational consultant is extremely knowledgeable in what colleges are looking for and I feel like even if I were a very strong, creative writer, Inno-V would still have contributed significantly to my college application. read less

Before I work with them I really don't know and don't care what I am doing for both year my GPA was below 2.8 meaning Im on edge of unable to graduate. Furthermore I don't know what kind of future I wanted. However my counselor at Inno-V was able to detect a single passion of mine which my parents forbidden me to pursue. Which is investing in stock market and crypto market. Coincidently my counselor at Inno-V him self was a big investor in crypto, so he know exactly what kind of course route I should be taking. He hook me up with online camps at UCLA, courses at community colleges, even a professional venture capitalist! Without his resources I would never ever have a chance to even see those people. During the application process, he help me created college list. Since my writing skills are terrible, he dealt all mine grammar mistakes as well as forming it into a actual essay. I was able to make into a college, major in economic! Really, without Inno-V my junior year will suffer the same fate as freshman and sophomore with those grades I definitely won't make it into graduation. Things I remember the most from our meeting are, my counselor is super responsive, one incidence I had a problem with part of essay at 2 AM so I shoot him a message hoping he will respond when he wake up, but damn this man texted me back right away at 2 AM!!! And solved the problem right away.InnoV is a real life changing experience for me. I was one step away from abyss and he pulled me back. He ensured my graduation, college and part of mine future. This allowed me to have plenty of time to do my own research before I began the essays. When it came to writing essays, my counselor had me covered. He provided multiple resources to guide in the essay writing stage such as templates to help brainstorm essay topics and example essays of past students. He also made sure I followed a schedule so I would be able to submit everything on time. It also helped a lot that my counselor was able to connect well with me as we had similar interests. I will be attending UIUC in the Fall. I am thankful for the guidance and support provided by Inno-V throughout the entire college app process. read less

Given that my dream school is one of the top tier UCs, my counselor patiently walked me through the options I was facing- transfer directly from UCR or transfer from a CC. I ended up transferring back to a CC that is close to my home and started my sophomore year of college.In De Anza, an Inno-V counselor helped me to plan out my class schedule to fulfill the transfer requirements. Moreover, my counselor encouraged me to apply for an internship that related to my major. My counselor helped me to develop a professional resume and prepare for the interview, which eventually landed me an intern opportunity in an asset management firm. For the college application, he helped me to select my target school and to formulate my college essay.I applied to UCs, USC and NYU. Now, I am accepted by UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, and UC Berkeley while other schools’ decisions are not out yet. He’s able to guide me with specific concrete plans, from recommending outside courses to further my GPA to finding extracurricular activities and summer programs that gear toward my interests.Through my college counselor’s guidance, I was able to choose a major pathway which is what I want to do in my life - nursing. The whole process for nursing program was very competitive, but Inno-v was able to help me with the whole process, from building a college list that matches my preferences and profile to help me write the most compelling personal college essays to all the strategies and tips along the way.I’m happy to say that I got into my dream school Case Western University Reserve for the Nursing program. For the first draft of my essays, we would focus on developing content and a quality story that showed my character.
